Stargate Atlantis!

I've spent the better part of my day watching SGA season 1 (not done yet), but there are two things that keep... intruding.

The first is the memory of soupytwist on a street in Boston, bouncing up and down and squeaking excitedly while telling me about SGA. To be honest, I don't remember much of what she said, nor did I at the time understand half of what she was telling me - and I vaguely remember aneli8 telling her to calm down - but I remember the exciiiitemeeeeent and now I can TOTALLY SHARE IT OMG OMG OMG!

The other thing is, well, I keep imagining Rodney and John in all sorts of compromising positions, and I believe this is mostly mrsronweasley's fault. I look forward to reading the fics. :P

Rodney, John, and Ronin are great but I don't care for Tayla nor Dr. Wier. They need to get killed off and replaced by Samantha Carter and Vala from SG-1.

Ronon comes in in the second season. He's awesome. And for what it's worth, I think Teyla kicks ass. Like, John's ass. ALL THE TIME.

Good, I like Teyla (Tayla?)! Was a bit worried there, that she'd suddenly stab John in the back or summat. Phew. :P

Oops, they are spelled Teyla and Ronon. I looked it up :D By the way, gateworld (http://www.gateworld.net/atlantis/s1/index.shtml) is a great resource of information including interviews with cast members and writers/producers, but beware, it contains spoilers (but they're marked as spoilers).

They need to work on Teyla's dialect/annunciation/grammar (linguistics?) whatever. I don't like it! Her words are so choppy; she speaks as if she was a machine (like Data from Star Trek). Other than that she's pretty cool. However, Dr. Wier just never came across to me as a leader. She doesn't project leadership at all. I liked the original Dr. Wier first introduced in Stargate SG-1.

You're right about Dr Wier, she doesn't feel like a leader. As for how Teyla speaks, I noticed it - whatever it is, I just call it bad acting. :P

I'll have to check out gateworld once I've reached... is it season three, running now? I don't want to be spoiled.

Yes! It's from "Hot Zone". I love that scene more than words can say. 'Cause, John! Teyla smacking him on the ass with a stick! Love! (And I'm a John/Rodney shipper. But I love Teyla so much, her and John's scenes together make me very happy.)

By the way, if you want seasons 2 & 3 let me know. I can put them on a DVD as a data disk (.avi files) and mail them to you. If your DVD player plays .avi files you're good, if not, you can either burn them yourself or watch them full screen on the computer. Sorry but I can't burn them as DVDs then mail them out... there are just too many.

Oh, thank you for the offer, but it's ok - I've downloaded season 1 and 2, so I'm set for a while. Anyway, I don't have a DVD player, I'm watching everything on my computer. :P

I even have this nifty remote control for my computer, I just sit in my sofa and decide what to watch. :D

OMG, half of my flist - or should I say ALL of my flist? - is gushing over SGA and I have no time to watch it!

Man, and to think that when I watched the movie Stargate a few months ago and I got crazy over it and wanted to watch it all not many people on my flist watched SGA...But I have an obsessive compulsive side that demands I watch all 9 seasons of SG-1 before I watch SGA! XD
