Why do they tease us so...

So, Fox cancelled New Amsterdam, right? After something like only six episodes, IIRC. Six episodes, that's nothing! It's just a taste, a teaser, an appetizer. Then why have the Swedish Channel 6 bought the series and are airing it this spring? It's completely cruel and unnecessary to all the viewers who just might fall head over heels in love with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau the series.

And okay, if they were running it at 1 am in the mornings after the reruns of Married with Children, fine - but no, they're airing it during freaking primetime and running radio commercials non stop to promote it.

WTF, Channel 6?!

They just bought the six original eps? That IS odd. *hugs*

As I recall, that's pretty much how Fox marketed the show. Aaaaand, every other show they have cancelled prematurely. Damn you, Fox!!

Anyhow, if you find yourself wanting more of the series, read Pete Hamill's novel Forever. It's pretty much the same thing. However, if you find yourself wanting more of the fine Mr. Waldau... er, I can't really help you on that one. :-(

Wasn't he in Wimbledon as one of Paul Bettany's tennis buddies? His face, to me, was the only memorable thing in that otherwise atrocious movie. :P He played a baddie with Paul Bettany in Firewall, too.
