Terry Pratchett

has apparently been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. Did you know this? I had no idea. :( :( :(

But who but Pratchett would make me laugh out loud while reading an Alzheimer's announcement. An embuggerance, indeed.

I know, it's so sad. And I am weird cause I find the way he's so fantastic in the face of it to be almost sadder than if he was, like, "I am going to go away and hide because THIS SUCKS" - it must be so hard for him, but he's going on anyway, being just as great as he always has been. Oh, Terry.

*hugs him, and you*

Yeah, doesn't it suck? I heard several days ago and I'm still really upset about it. I don't want to be all earnest or anything, but I think his books help - like actually make the world a better place.

Embuggerance is the perfect term.

Oh, your icon. *pats*

I haven't read all that many of his books, but I will. I want to read the Discworld series in order, I've read a couple of them VERY randomly.

Oh no! But it sounds like he's addressing it in an awesome way, very befitting of Mr. Prachett, obviously.
